Description

A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake, a chocolate crust, and a topping of cherry pie filling and dark chocolate shavings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings
  • Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined and press into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Add sour cream and heavy cream; mix until combined.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Top with cherry pie filling and chocolate shavings before serving.
  10. Garnish with fresh cherries.

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth mixture. Press the crust firmly to hold together.
