Description

A bold and spicy BBQ sauce featuring Fireball whisky that elevates any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Fireball whisky
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, honey, Fireball whisky, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. If using, add hot sauce to taste.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool before storing in a jar.
  7. For best flavor, refrigerate overnight before using.

Notes

The sauce can be frozen for longer storage, but leave room for expansion in the jar.
