A flavorful homemade Indian masala chai that combines strong black tea, warm spices, creamy milk, and sweetness.
Ingredients

- 1 rounded spoonful black tea (loose leaf)
- 1 cup water
- Milk (to taste, whole or oat)
- Chai Masala (fresh ginger, cardamom, black pepper)
- Sweetener (honey, sugar, coconut sugar, or agave)
Instructions
- Put one rounded spoonful of tea in a small pot.
- Add about one cup of water and let it bubble for about 2 minutes.
- Add the spice blend and let it simmer.
- Pour in milk to taste and sweeten as desired.
- Simmer until almost boiling, then strain and pour into a mug.
Notes
Adjust spice levels according to mood; use a fine strainer to avoid chewing on pepper.
