Description

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of puffed corn
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Line a large roasting pan with parchment paper or foil and spray it lightly.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup; let bubble gently for a couple of minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda (mixture will bubble).
  6. Pour caramel mixture over puffed corn and mix well to coat each piece.
  7. Spread coated corn evenly in the roasting pan.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Add candy sprinkles or nuts for a festive twist. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
