Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in the buttermilk.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
