- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the buttermilk.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Measure ingredients accurately and ensure butter is at room temperature. Don’t overmix the batter.
