Ingredients

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon filets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning (optional) Optional for extra flavor

For the sauce

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

For garnish

  • Minced parsley (optional) For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by patting the salmon filets dry. Season them with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and the optional blackening seasoning. Set them aside.
  • Preheat your broiler by adjusting the oven rack to the middle position.

Cooking

  • In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat until melted.
  • Add the minced garlic, then stir in the water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook this mixture for about 30 seconds until it's heated through.
  • Place the salmon filets in the skillet, skin side down if they have skin. Cook them for about 3 minutes, basting frequently with the sauce.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and broil for 5-6 minutes, basting the salmon once during cooking, until it’s caramelized and cooked to your liking.
  • If you’d like, sprinkle some minced parsley over the top for a fresh touch. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Tips to Make Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon: Make sure to pat the salmon dry for better seasoning adherence. Frequent basting will keep the salmon moist. Don’t overcook the salmon; it should flake easily with a fork. Variation: Add ginger for extra flavor or use different types of fish like tilapia or trout.
